TRING CINEMA IS A COMMUNITY CINEMA FOR TRING AND THE SURROUNDING VILLAGES.

Tring Cinema is organised by Lee from Tring Design and Steffi from Tring Together who met at one of Tring Together’s BusinessMart events and soon discovered their joint vision of bringing back a cinema to Tring.

With only their idea put to paper they found great feedback from the community as well as the much needed support from local businesses who enabled them to build a fantastic 2.5mx5m screen. Rather amazingly Epson have provided them with a projector and Tring Brewery have provided a 200W sound system so that we are now able to offer the full cinema experience to you, our audience.

Tring Cinema’s home, the Nora Grace Hall allows Tring Cinema to run screenings all year around with cosy indoor movie nights in the colder months and open air screenings under the stars during the summer.

Just Lee and Steffi however, would never be able to run Tring Cinema alone, so their thanks goes to a great team that includes Marc – the voice of reason, Ciara – queen of decorations, and Jarvis – sound & ticket scanning expert, for their ongoing support.

Tring Cinema opens!

Tring Cinema open with our first outdoor screening

We put together a screen with blackout material and plastic piping and held out first screenings of Grease and Back to the Future outside on the lawn at Nora Grace Hall.
Halloween weekend

Psycho and Lost Boys

We took our screenings inside in the autumn with a special Halloween weekend showing The Lost Boys and Psycho.
Tring Summer Carnival

Tring Cinema joins the Tring Cinema Carnival line up with a sing-a-long screening of Grease

New seats, sound and screen

We get an upgrade!

With the generous support of Tring Arts Trust new seating, surround sound, equipment and screen are installed at Nora Grace Hall. We show the Oscar winner Favourite and are blown away by the experience.
Boris cancels the show

Lockdown

Boris Johnson announces that now is the time to stop non-essential contact and travel and Tring Cinema closes its doors just as we were about to screen Judy. Our doors remain shut through various lockdowns and restrictions that followed.
